It's a pretty hard topic to cover, most sites that promise you money, are just a scam. So, if you really want to make some money, here are some links, tips, and tutorials to help you out.
I've literally tried for months to find some decent money making sites, I live in Hong Kong, and everything is US/Canada only. Which is why it might be easier for you guys to make some money on a larger variety of sites.
Well, firstly - the biggest and most obvious money maker on the web, eBay. It's a place to sell your old goods, and it's completely safe. You can sell almost anything, and make lots of money with eBay, through PayPal. Most of these sites pay you via PayPal, so I suggest you head over there and create an account if you don't have one already.
AdSense is a great platform o make some money. You can apply for AdSense on your site, and earn around 0.2 per click on an ad, it's a Google service which is why you know it's legitimate. Some people make some big money on AdSense, and it's quite worth the extra eye-strain. PayPerPlay technologies don't work, I have a feeling it's all just spam. I've tried, it refuses to let me sign up!
If you own a website, you could start up a web-store, or a store network where you let your users sell things on your site for a fraction of the money they make off of it. You could put a PayPal 'donate' button, and have your visitors donate money to your site.
Another great way to make some money, is by blogging. Start up a WordPress blog, get some traffic, then garnish with Google AdSense. AdSense makes some serious money with people just clicking on ads on your site. You can make $ 100-20USD+ per month with it, if you're lucky. If not AdSense, try Kontera or something of the sort, loads of companies have referral plans and affiliate marketing.
If you don't like the idea of starting up a blog, why not just write! Places like Helium, Bukisa, Suite101, eHow, AssociatedContent, ConstantContent and About are willing to pay you for writing articles. I don't have much experience with many of them, but I'll do an explanation of what I know. On Helium, your articles sit there, and earn money forever. It is dependent on how many page views you get, and if a publisher wants to buy your article. For eHow, you need to become a DemandStudios author, it's some serious business down there, but your articles make a lot of money. AssociatedContent has been described as 'the lowest of the low' because mostly, all you can make is around $ 1.50/article. ConstantContent is a toughie, they are quite strict a to what makes money and what doesn't. Your work has to be flawless, and publishers come to buy pieces - although, there is no guarantee that your article will ever be bought. About is a well paying one, I haven't really tried About, or read about their author plans, yet. But you can take a look. There are plenty others that require you install a 3rd party API from AdSense or a service as such, on you articles, and earn money based off that. Kontera is a good one, I hear. I am thinking about implementing it on to my blog for some extra revenue.
Freelancing is also a great way to make some money, doing jobs that are within your skill set and those jobs can make you a lot of money, depending on what they are. Freelancer.com is a good site to check out, but there's some tough competition and it's hard to get started with, once you've started - it gets easier.
At Moola, you can get paid for playing Ro-Sham-Bo! It's like a casino, you play for moola money, and raise the stakes. Once you've got about m$ 5, I think that means you can cash out for $ 10 via PayPal. But it's a way to make money with classic arcade games online.
Reviews are valued forms of opinions, at SoftwareJudge and Epinions you can make lots of money just by reviewing things. On SoftwareJudge, you could make up to $ 50 on a single review, if it's that good. On Epinions you can review anything, on SoftwareJudge, you guessed it - only select software.
At UserTesting, you can review websites, but you do have to be rather critical as to your reviews, and you have to be pretty good, they test you first, by making you record a video of you rating a website they give you, then they ask you to provide written feedback. It's a pretty interesting site, but does require some effort. Getting in to their testing panel can be difficult though!
SliceThePie is a site here you can earn money by listening to, then reviewing music. It's also a way to make small amounts of money. I haven't made any money off of them yet, but - it's worth a try.
Focus groups and Surveys
There are plenty of 'focus groups' online where you can participate in discussion about a product, which can be used for company market research. It's also a great and legitimate way to earn some money.
Web design can be a good way to earn some money, I've made a few websites for small businesses and made a couple hundred dollars in the process, although, finding a client is the tough part. Once you have, just make him a site, and let him bid on a price.
Now, the worst one of them all. Surveys. They are horrible, slow, time consuming, and just fail in almost every way known to man. Although, if that's your last option. You need to find the right one, two decent survey sites that aren't a scam, are CashCrate, and GlobalTestMarket, from which you can make minute funds taking surveys.
Now you know the ways to making money online, put them in to practice and make some money! I'm sorry I haven't included the links, habit a problem with my browser, anyways - a google search of these names/sifes should give you the results you're looking for.
